“Where Lovers Mourn” (2003), “Arcane Rain Fell” (2005), “The Burning Halo” (2006), “Turning Season Within” (2008), “A Rose for the Apocalypse” (2011), “Sovran” (2015) e o mais recente, “Under a Godless Veil” (2020).

English Version:
This may be a text with quite a
heavy emotional load. This is because the person writing to you had a cover
band of Draconian in the past and just imagine the extent of my happiness when
I received the mission to cover this event for RockSP.
The show took place at the
well-known Fabrique Club, and it must be said that the venue is becoming the
sought-after place for heavy sound bands to hold their concerts.
The only downside is that the
drink prices at the venue are a bit steep (a can of Heineken for 15.00 is quite
heavy on the wallet, isn't it?).
Spacious venue, excellent sound
equipment, you can enjoy the event without feeling uncomfortable, in short,
there are several features that make this a good choice for concerts
(especially for Doom Metal bands).
Shall we get to the show?
The venue opened its doors at
5:00 PM, and as the audience started to arrive, it was evident that the band
has a dedicated following here in Brazil.
It's Draconian's first time on
Brazilian soil, and it was definitely a milestone for many there (myself
included).
The band took the stage shortly
after 6:00 PM, and as soon as they got on stage, they received a warm reception
from the audience. They performed a setlist of nothing less than 16 (!!!) songs
that spanned across all their released albums.
A treat that many had been
waiting for a long time.
And speaking of the plays, for
those of you who are not familiar with the discography, it's as follows:
"Where Lovers Mourn"
(2003), "Arcane Rain Fell" (2005), "The Burning Halo"
(2006), "Turning Season Within" (2008), "A Rose for the
Apocalypse" (2011), "Sovran" (2015), and the most recent one, "Under
a Godless Veil" (2020).
The lineup went through some changes,
with one of the most significant being the departure of vocalist Lisa Johansson
in 2011. In her place, vocalist Heike Langhans joined the band. Heike remained
in the band from 2012 to 2022 when she left to pursue her personal projects.
Lisa returned to the band some
time after Heike's departure was officially announced.
The entire band was very friendly
with the audience. All the members showed a lot of affection and joy for the
way they were received by the audience.
Anders Jacobsson and his eternal
love for wine (and other drinks, haha) at one point raised a bottle of wine and
offered it to the audience, saying "Cheers!"
During the show, there were some
technical issues, even requiring a short break to resolve, but nothing that
dimmed the brilliance of their performance.
It's worth noting that there were
a few songs missing from the set, such as "Heaven Laid in Tears,"
"Earthbound," and "The Gothic Embrace." However, with the
set they presented, they managed to captivate the audience, who sang along to
every song and enthusiastically engaged throughout the entire performance.
Lisa's melodic vocals showcased
her power and quality! She hit incredibly high notes without a hint of being
off-key.
Anders and his well-known growls
created that perfect marriage with the melodies of the songs.
And as for the instrumental part,
flawless execution! They played exactly like the recordings.
The audience was always very
lively, getting really into it, calling out for the band, and celebrating
wildly.
There was a tribute to Lisa, where they called her name several times, and she responded with "I Love You."
